I've been working lots of weekends lately,

so am very excited to have some downtime

with my sweetie this weekend!  

Is it pathetic that I'm looking 

forward to little stuff like doing laundry

 and snuggling on the couch??

In the midst of some important stuff, 

I think we'll be stealing as much time away

 for rest and togetherness as possible.

Because really, when you have a hubs

as cute as mine, why wouldn't you? ;)

It's been a bit of a marathon around here 

lately, so I'm looking forward to some

much deserved rest this weekend.

 

And because the sun is supposed to 

be shining all weekend long, I'm planning

to be outside soaking it up!

We had one of those quiet, blissfully sleepy weekends.

You know the type - full of movies and naps.  

Leave the house only when necessary. 

Plenty of cuddling on the couch.  Lots of 

laundry and catching up on little 

household jobs.  Stay in pjs as long

as you'd like.  Rest.  Time together.

Happiness.  :)

After a busy week, we enjoyed a perfectly 

mellow weekend.  It was nice to have some 

down time to rest and catch up a bit.

Maybe you're not an addict like me, 

but in my world, morning doesn't really start 

until I've had those first sips of coffee. 

Hubs & I have today off, and I'm looking

forward to some lazy morning time together with 

plenty of coffee-drinking and snuggling.

Who knows what the rest of our day will hold, 

but I'm sure it will be a fun adventure!

 I'm eagerly anticipating a glorious summer weekend.

(and by eagerly, I mean counting down the hours 

until I leave the office & rush home to play!)

 

It'll be full of family & friends, sunshine, and yummy 

bbq food...but we're choosing to leave some 

space for rest too.  Sounds pretty perfect to me.

 It's a rainy Friday here, and to be

honest, it's been a rather long week.

I'm thinking that rather than work another

busy day and opening tonight, I could 

go find this bedroom and cozy in for the

day.  A little fire in the fireplace, cat naps

in that massive bed, a chick flick and 

something tasty to munch on...I'm thinking

this is definitely the way to end the week!

Lots of relaxing this weekend, folks. And it's been wonderful.

I slept nice and late yesterday, then Twin and I made the most delish french toast and watched 500 Days of Summer.



Holy cute, amazing movie. I loved the characters, adored the music, and laughed my way through the entire thing.

(Can I please be Zooey Deschanel? Or at least have her wardrobe?)



Then we got to hang out with a few of our favorite girlies - because what could be better than girl time on a rainy weekend evening?

We ate lots more yummy food (including this cheesy wonder) and watched Bride & Prejudice.

And no, that's not a typo. If you haven't seen it, it's a Bollywood style Pride & Prejudice story, full of dancing and Indian culture and incredible cheesiness.

Watch it and giggle - you won't be sorry.



Then, because we hadn't had our fill of tv yet, Twin and I finished Season 4 of Criminal Minds this afternoon.

(Yes, I know...it's another cop show. But you know what, we really like them!)

I am taking a little break from blogging this week, because I have a limited amount of time to prepare to teach at my church, and am trying to maximize my productivity in the time I've got.

(And since it would be embarrassing to admit just how much time I spend blogging and reading other blogs, I am just going to tell you that this hopefully will save me a lot of time...)

Be ready for some really luscious food pictures upon my return, however. They are drool worthy and will totally make you wish you got to hang out with my amazingly talented friends! We had a girls cooking and photography day last weekend, and I'm pretty sure I'm still full.

Unless Ms. V calls and invites me to dinner, in which case I'm always ready to eat...

Despite having things to do on my desk today, I took the day off. (Definitely not something I'm always good at doing, but I'm glad I did!)
