Sir H came to stay last night, so in addition to having delightfully warm toes all night, this morning we had the most wonderful walk. The sun was bright and took the chill out of the air, plus the birds were all singing their loud morning songs. It was amazing!

Friday is finally here!

Thankfully Sir H. will be here tonight for a sleep over, so if we wanted to recreate this picture we could...

It's been a busy & great week, and I can't wait for even more goodness & happiness this weekend. Among other good things, my family will be in town and I can hardly wait to see them and start the Christmas celebrating!





I feel compelled to share these fabulous group pictures from our leadership Christmas party. Aren't they fun and delightfully Christmasy?

And doesn't it blow your mind that this group of crazies runs a church?! (A very cool church for that matter!)




So last night I went here to see this - and it was so fun! Lots of great music and amazing dancing. Plus a few great costumes that involved lots of feathers...

But no dancing for me this morning - plenty to do in the house before the family arrives. (Maybe even some more present wrapping!?)

This is about what Sir H. and I look like at the moment. (Pretty glam, huh?)

Despite his protests (refusing to step outside or get out of the car) I took him for our morning walk in the pouring rain...and he was miserable the entire time. Not only did he give me dirty looks every time he splashed through a puddle, he also tried to hide under anything that looked like it could provide shelter - bushes, cars - or even rocks!

But since it's finally Friday and we're home and drying out now, I thought I'd share a few fun links with you - something to make Friday go a little faster and the weekend show up a little sooner!

Hope your weekend is happy!

little buddy

Over the weekend, Sir H came for an overnight visit. Although I get to work with him on a daily basis (he belongs to one of my bosses), it's been a while since he came to stay for a night.


He was dropped off to Twin, and this is how he greeted me when I finally arrived home after work. (Add in lots of yelping and howling to complete the picture.)






And after a nice rambling walk and some dinner, this is how he spent the rest of his time with us:





He knows that the rules are different here at our house, and that he is allowed to sleep on bed and couches if we invite him to join us.


And let me tell you, he takes full advantage of these relaxed rules. The second one of us gets into bed, he sits immediately next to you looking super cute, just asking for the a-ok to jump up and join you.






But be warned - he's a total space hog. Once you invite him up, he will try to take over the whole stinkin bed.

But just try and say no. It's pretty much useless to resist.

And really, why would you want to?
