frivolous

Pinterest allows me to dream up
the most ridiculous amazing parties.

For instance, this over-the-top
ladies night with plenty of pretty.

It makes me want to go home
to find a party dress immediately!

pumpkin cuteness

Check out these tasty little
cuties...Pumpkin Pie Bites!

The recipe looks pretty easy,
and I'm thinking they could be a
yummy addition to any fun fall parties...
or my appetizer party that I
still haven't forgotten about.  :)

Let me know if you try them!

party planning committee

My best friend is getting hitched in August,
so a lot of my free time lately has been spent
planning a summery bridal shower!

I've been working with her sweet family
to plan a perfect celebration for our favorite
girl, and am having way too much fun
coming up with cute ideas and
making crafty things.

But mostly, I'm just loving being
part of our own little PPC.  ;)

bite-sized

 A confession:
I spend far too much time dreaming
up fun ideas for dinner parties,
birthday bashes, and holiday fun.

My latest obsession is the idea of
an appetizer party... where everything
is bite-sized and adorably presented.
Sounds fun, right?

And then at end of the evening,
wouldn't you want to have one
(or two!) of these darling little
doughnuts with a shot of cold milk?

cupcake fondue

Every time I think I could stop eating
sweets, I see something amazing like this idea
and realize that it will never happen.  Maybe
it's just me, but this makes me want to throw
a cupcake fondue party immediately!
Bring on the sprinkles!

oh yum.

Baked Brie with Rosemary, Almond & Cherries
serves 4-6 as an appetizer

2 T chopped fresh rosemary
2 T chopped slivered almonds
2 T honey
1 brie cheese round
8 fresh cherries, pitted and chopped
crackers (of your choice)

Preheat oven to 400F. In a small bowl, combine rosemary and almonds. With a pastry brush (or knife), coat the sides of the brie with honey and dip into rosemary-almond mixture, pressing. Place brie on a baking sheet. Brush the top with honey and sprinkle with the remaining herb mixture. Place in oven and bake 20 minutes. Remove brie from oven and top with chopped cherries. Bake an additional 5-10 minutes until brie is soft when cut. Serve with crackers.

Doesn't this look amazing?! I just stumbled upon the recipe, and am seriously considering trying it tonight for our little n.y.e. party...
