yes, i am drooling

Ever since I found this recipe for
I've been dying to try it...so if you
beat me to it, please let me know
how it goes!

{You'll need}
6 slices hickory-smoked bacon
4 slices rustic white bread
2 slices provolone cheese
2 slices cheddar cheese
1 egg
3/4 cup pale ale
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1 tablespoon butter

{Start to finish}
Cook bacon to crispy, drain.

Make 2 sandwiches - each with
1 slice provolone, 1 slice cheddar,
and 3 slices of bacon.

Heat griddle to 375°
or skillet to medium-high.

In a shallow bowl, beat egg,
beer, flour & chili powder with
fork until smooth.  Dip each
sandwich into the batter, giving
it a few seconds on each side
to absorb the batter.

Melt butter and place sandwiches
on griddle.  Cook 3-4 minutes
on each side until golden brown.

cookies

The hubs has a new-found love for Nutella,
so you can only imagine his excitement when
I found this recipe for no-bake cookies.

We made them last night, and they were
definitely as fudgy and delicious as promised!
Let's hope our small group feels the same
way tonight...and I guess if they don't,
it's just more for me later this week.  :)

drool

Ever have one of those days where
all you can think about is the yummy food
you wish you were going home to make
for dinner / dessert?  When my evenings are
busy and I'm running directly from work
to a meeting or event, I find myself compulsively
daydreaming about recipes and free evenings
spent in a kitchen.  But never cleaning up...
that's the luxury of a daydream!

tea yumminess

Even though the hope of spring is growing
every day, it's definitely not here quite
yet. This delicious tea is helping...it tastes
like spring but warms up my cold little
winter self.  County Peach Passion
is my current fave. :)

hot cocoa...on a stick

This is genius.  To be fair, I'm a crazed hot
chocolate fan, but this is cool even if
you aren't.  In the words of Marta:

It comes (adorably packaged) in the form
of a  whopping chunk of rich chocolate
on a clever stick, mind you–
ready to dunk into steaming hot milk,
then stirred into cocoa oblivion.
oh my goodness, it's divine.
dark and dreamy and full flavored.

Um, yes please. Well done,
